Welcome Tonderai!

Though Gary Readhead left some big shoes to fill, we are extremely happy to have welcomed a new full-stack developer to our team this month – Tonderai Mutsinze.

Tonderai, or Tonde, as he is known, has brought a wealth of experience and skills to the agency, including several programming languages and tools, ranging from ReactJS, EmberJS and Ruby to WordPress, MySQL, Drupal 8, and Apache server configuration.

With a BSc from BCIT – British Columbia Institute Of Technology – Tonde merges technical skills with a passion for usability and problem-solving, which Tonde attributes to the influence of his late father, who was also a developer. These interests spill out into Tonde’s pastimes, which are dominated  by his love of playing puzzle games and contributing to Github code challenges in his free time. 

With his appetite for IT solutions and creative challenges, Tonde has slotted into the Machete team perfectly , and while the move to WFH means we’ve only met in person a few times, he has already proven to be an invaluable asset. 

When not crouched over one of his multiple screens, Tonde’s lanky frame may often be found on the basketball court, indulging in his favourite physical activity.
